There is a Pope in the Cars universe. This means that there is Catholic Christianity, which means there was a Jesus car who was crucified. Jesus Chrysler was crucified by car Romans under Pontiac Pilot who washed his wheels. A car was nailed to a cross and ascended to Heaven.

Actually, if we assume the Cars movies take place in the same Universe with all the other Pixar movies (based on the famous Pixar thoery by Jon Negroni which can be found here in case you haven’t heard about it) there would have not been a Jesus car at all. In fact, Jesus might’ve existed but he’d most probably have been a humanoid, just like in the real world. See, according to this awesome theory, people once in the history of the Cars universe but eventually moved to space after life on Earth became impossible for organisms. Therefore, Cars movies actually happen in the future, where all the humans are gone and only the man-made machines are left to run the world humans built - and apparently they also continued keeping up the culture they learned from the humans. This might explain why they still have a pope and all, like, maybe they value their history and ancient traditions just like we do, these days (cf. the Olympic games and Halloween)??? lol
The Pixar theory isn’t, however, confirmed by Pixar itself so all this fuss could as well be bullshit, haha! Anyhow, I still find it interesting and it will remain as many people’s headcanon until any new info about the Pixar universe(s) is announced, so why not imagine it’s all true? After all, even if the whole theory wasn’t accurate, people existing in the past of the Cars universe would still make a lot of sense, don’t you think?
